You have many different options on where to purchase salvia. The first decision to make is if you are going to buy from an actual store in your local town or order online. The only reason I can see to purchase from a headshop or store in town is if you need your order that day. Over the years I have went into hundreds of different stores to see the salvia they purchase and sell and every time I am amazed at how high the prices are. Most retail stores charge $35+ for what we sell for $10 - crazy!
So unless you need the product right now - we narrowed it down to purchase salvia online as your best option. And if you pick a good salvia store (Like Potent Salvia) you can have your order within a few days. Picking a retailer to purchase salvia from online can be a little tricky. We have been in this business since 2007 and have seen alot of changes over the years. In about 2009 when salvia began to get more publicitiy and come into the public spotlight - there was a huge influx of people or companies selling the product just to make a profit and not caring about the history of the plant at all. The only mark you will find on our name is some negative reviews from years back. Salvia Prices - Why are some places so high and some so low?
There are two different types of salvia extracts sold. Standardized and non-standardized. No reputable vendor is selling anything but standardized extracts as when you sell a product you need to know you are shipping out the exact same thing every time. We do research all the time on our competitors prices and we have not found yet a site selling the quality extracts we sell for any less. Quite honestly our pricing is more comparable (slightly higher) than the sites selling a non-standardized product. How do we do this? Volume and Production are the two quick answers, we sell more and make it ourself in our lab.
If you see a website that you can purchase salvia from and they say it is standardized and the prices are lower than ours - do me a favor and be cautious. I am not naive to think someone can not come close to our pricing - but I do know the market and know there is not much room to get lower - so if they are - I would research there product or other business principals.
On the other side some websites sell standardized extracts for 100-200% more than we sell them for here at Potent Salvia. They also have a great product and ship standardized extracts, and if you want to pay more then you have plenty of websites to choose from. :) Personally, I have always been a bargain shopper. I want the best services for the lowest price, and I think alot of you are the same way.
